What You’ll Do

Project Support & Analysis:

• Assist with drainage analysis and the preparation of construction plans and drainage reports.
• Develop project quantities and prepare submittal documents to support project needs.
• Conduct field investigations of drainage systems and flooding complaints.
• Coordinate with various permitting agencies for stormwater management.

Cross-Disciplinary Coordination:

• Coordinate and gain a comprehensive understanding of various design components including roadway, traffic control, structures, signing and pavement marking, signalization, lighting, and utility work.
• Attend technical meetings and project field reviews to gain real-world insights into the engineering process.
• Collaborate with a cohesive team of professionals, including sub-consultants, to ensure project success.

Diverse Project Exposure:

• Work on projects ranging from major roadway reconstruction and milling/resurfacing to minor design projects such as sidewalks and trails.

Qualities We’re Looking For

Education & Professional Credentials:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with 0-5 years of experience.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) Certification is required.  FDOT experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proactive and driven, with a commitment to quality.
• A collaborative team player and effective communicator.
• Adaptable, flexible, and skilled at prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical writing, computer, organization, and planning skills.

Technical Proficiency:

• Experience and familiarity with Open Roads Designer (ORD) or AutoCAD Civil 3D CADD software.  ORD is the primary software used. 
• 3D modeling experience is a plus.
• Experience with ICPR  /Stormwise or equivalent hydraulic software.
